ISP- ZobAhan are the new leaders of the Iranian Premier League after defeat for Perspolis.

The previous league leaders, Perspolis, played Pas in the Azadi Stadium today, in the game of the season so far. The game was full of excitement and incident, and Pas beat Prespolis 3-1 with all the goals coming in the first 38 minutes. Perspolis took the lead after only 2 minutes, but Pas came back with goals by Khatibi (2), and Nekounam. The former national team and Perspolis goal keeper, Nima Nakisa, saved Pas a number of times in the second half. Pas have now beaten both the so-called giants of the capital, Perspolis and Esteghlal.

ZobAhan are the new leaders after beating Fajr Sepasi away from home, and are leading the table by 1 point. Perspolis are second, and F.M. Sepahan are third after beating Bargh today. Esteghlal Rasht are now bottom of the table, after losing to Saipa in Tehran. This was Saipa's first win of the season.

14:30: Perspolis (Tehran) 1-3 Pas (Tehran)
Perspolis: Esmail Halali (02).
Pas: Rasoul Khatibi (08, 38), Javad Nekounam (28).

22 Bahman Stadium in Esfehan
14:30: F.M. Sepahan (Esfehan) 3-0 Bargh (Shiraz)
Edmond Bezid, Leon Estepanian, and Ardalan scored for F.M. Sepahan.

Takhti Stadium in Mashhad
14:30: AbooMoslem (Mashhad) 1-0 Malavan (Anzali)
Reza Enayati scored AbooMoslem's only goal.

Hafezieh Stadium in Shiraz
14:30: Fajr-Sepasi (Shiraz) 0-2 ZobAhan (Esfehan)
Amir Vaziri, and Reza Sahebi scored for ZobAhan.

The game between Foolad Khoozestan and Esteghlal Tehran has been postponed to a later date, as Esteghlal are playing Al-Ittihad on Friday.
