IRNA - Pakistan Football Federation's (PFF)
President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat and Federal Minister for
Environment will discuss promotion of soccer during his visit to Iran, began
on Sunday, the PFF said.
He will take his time out from hectic schedule to meet heads of IR Iran
Football Federation (IRIFF) President Mohsen Safaei Farahani and General
Secretary Mohammad Nabi Mehdi, FRMF President Benslimane Housni and General
Secretary Bencheikh Larbi for discussion on promotion of soccer and exchange
of visits of men, women teams besides courses of referring, coaches and
administrators.
Becoming 17th PFF President on 28 August 2003, Faisal, earlier visited
Turkey, Romania, England and Bahrain and exchanged views with several
officials for football promotion in Pakistan. He will also visit Morocco.
It was first time in PFF's 57-year history that a PFF President spared his
precious time from his hectic Ministry assignments, and visited countries to
seek their help for football promotion in Pakistan.
The previous 16 PFF Presidents failed to fulfill such demands.
The soccer enthusiasts of Pakistan are hoping and believe that Makhdoom Syed
Faisal Saleh Hayat's visit to Iran and Morocco would become landmark in
60-year soccer history of Pakistan.
