| Tehran, July 8, IRNA -- Iran's youth soccer team that is getting ready for preliminary round of Asian matches lost to the Uzbek side Sunday.
Playing on the pitch of Takhti Stadium, southeastern Tehran, Uzbekistan managed to narrowly win the home side 3-2. Iran scored the opener in the 15th minute and added another in the 58th minute but Uzbekistan netted three times in the 45th, 49th and 78th minutes. Referee Mansour Mohammadi and his two linesmen, Nikfar Niknahad and Alireza Yazdani, judged the match. Iran and Uzbekistan are to field their players at the same stadium Tuesday, July 9. Navid Esfahani-Mozaffari will be the referee and Davoud Raf'ati and Alireza Faghani are to be the linesmen. |
