IRNA - Hertha Berlin has dropped Ashkan
Dejagah from its first-team roster for the rest of the season less, only
hours after signing a three-year deal with Bundesliga rivals VfL Wolfsburg,
the B.Z. newspaper reported in its Friday edition.
Herha Berlin coach Falko Goetz announced that the 21-year-old Dejagah will
be demoted to the amateur squad for the remainder of the season and he will
no longer train with professional team.
Berlin manager Dieter Hoeness lashed out at Dejagah for unexpectedly signing
with Wolfsburg, accusing him of being greedy.
The talented German-Iranian midfielder who is to join Wolfsburg on a
transfer-free basis at the end of the season, will reportedly earn around
one million euros a year.
Dejagah who joind Berlin as a junior player in 2000, was also linked to
other Bundesliga clubs, notably FC Nuremberg and Borussia Dortmund.
