Russia beats Iran in futsal friendly

MNA – Russia overcame Iran 2-1 in a four-sided futsal tournament here Friday.

The visitor wrapped up the victory before the break in the 12,000-Seater Hall of the Azadi Sports Complex.

Vahid Shamsaii scored Iran’s consolation goal in the first half.

Earlier in the day, Iran’s Under-23 side fought to a 2-2 draw against Uzbekistan.

The U-23 team takes on Russia and Iran plays Uzbekistan Saturday.
