GOAL - After just half a season with German club TuS Koblenz, Ferydoon Zandi
has left to join Cyprus’s Apollon FC.
The Iranian star will stay on the Mediterranean island until the end of the
current season.
The 27 year-old joined Koblenz in Germany’s second tier after Kaiserslautern
were relegated at the end of the 2006 season.
According to German magazine Kicker, he has left the club my mutual consent.
The midfielder, who has yet to add to his 12 appearances for Team Melli
since the World Cup, has struggled for form at Koblenz though injury and
illness haven’t helped as the club has slipped down to 12th in the standings
after a bright start.
Apollon currently lie fifth in Cyprus’s top flight.
