Tabriz, June 15, IRNA -- World's famous apparel maker, Adidas, has expressed its preparedness for making investment in Iran's sports
sector, announced the deputy of the Physical Education Organization for employment affairs Saturday. Talking to IRNA, Jamshid Taqizadeh added: "A four-member group of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) comprising Africa-Middle East management of Adidas Co. accompanied by members of the UAE's Emersal Sport Co. voiced their readiness for investing in the Iranian and East Azarbaijan province's sports sector after visiting Sahand skiing piste and facilities of Sharafkhaneh Port, Tabriz, Friday." The visiting group will be also engaged in attracting tourists, organize athletic contests in the UAE, prepare the ground for holding camps of the Persian Gulf littoral states in Iran, invest in different sections of Iranian sports sector and help transfer Iranian players to foreign teams, said Taqizadeh. Due to its closeness to Orumiyeh Lake, Sharafkhaneh Port and Sahand skiing piste thanks to its scenic vistas are worthy of investing, Taqizadeh quoted the Emirati group as saying. According to him, the group is to offer its plans, paving the way for official negotiations.
