Gulf-Daily-News - BAHRAIN'S national Olympic soccer team resumed their preparations last night at the Bahrain Football Association grounds in Riffa for the Doha Asian Games scheduled from December 1 to 15.

Bahrain team manager Faisal Al Aali said the team will head for Tehran on November 17 for a short training camp during which Bahrain will play two friendly matches against Iran on November 23 and 24.

Al Aali said team coach Creso Senad earlier named 22 players for this camp and the final squad of 20 players will be announced soon after the team's return from Tehran and before heading to Doha for the Games on November 26.

In the Asian Games, Bahrain, who will be among 24 teams vying for the gold, have been drawn in Group 'B' along with South Korea, Vietnam and Bangladesh. The top two teams from each of the six groups qualify for the second round.
