Bangalore - The Asian Youth under-20 football
championship's Group C and Group D matches will be played at the Sree
Kanteerava Stadium and the Bangalore Football Stadium here from October 29
to November 3. Two quarterfinal matches will also be held at the Sree
Kanteerava Stadium on November 6.
The Group A and Group B matches along with two quarterfinals and the final
(Nov. 12) will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. India is in
Group A.
Meanwhile from Group C, Iran has already arrived in the City while Japan is
expected to reach later in the night. The other teams Tajkistan, DPR Korea
(both Group C), Iraq, Malaysia, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia (all four in Group
D) will arrive in the subsequent days.
The Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) in its bid to promote the
game, will issue passes numbering 20 each for every school and college in
the City.
The physical instructors or head-masters of educational institutions can
collect the passes at the Bangalore Football Stadium premises on October 25
and 26 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Club secretaries too can collect their passes along with 25 players passes
from the KSFA.
