
IRNA - Iran's football team left here Tuesday
for the Jordanian capital Amman to take part in the LG Cup.
Manager Amir Qal'e-Noei will field a depleted team in the three-sided
tournament as he did not call up the exiles and regulars from high- flight
Esteqlal of Tehran and Saba Battery.
According to the schedule, Iran will take on Iraq and Jordan Wednesday and
Friday respectively.
The 20-strong team comprises Ebrahim Mirzapour, Hassan Roudbarian, Hadi
Shakouri, Mohammad Nosrati, Rahman Ahmadi, Sepehr Heidari, Jalal Hosseini,
Alireza Nikbakht-Vahedi, Mehrzad Ma'danchi, Hadi Aqili, Kianoush Rahmati,
Davoud Haqi, Shays Rezaei, Amir Az'hari, Robert Marcussi, Abbas Aqaei,
Andranik Teimourian, Pejman Nouri, Mehdi Rajabzadeh, and Hamid Shafiei.
Hanover striker Vahid Hashemian, Hamburg winger Mehdi Mahdavikia, Osasuna
midfielder Javad Nekounam, Livorno fullback Rahman Rezaei, and Gholam-Reza
Enayati, Iman Mob'ali, and Javad Kazemian who play in the United Arab
Emirates have not been summoned.
