MNA – Abu Moslem, an Iran Pro League club,
Monday announced its agreement with the resignation of veteran trainer Akbar
Misaqian.
The outspoken manager unexpectedly submitted his resignation Sunday, a day
after his sweet 3-2 home victory over popular Persepolis at their league
opener in Mashhad.
Misaqian was reported to have made the decision as a gesture of opposition
to intervention in his job, but the coach scotched the rumor blaming fatigue
for his submission.
Nasser Shafaq, the club managing director, appointed technical coach Mehdi
Qiassi as the caretaker manager.
