Nazavi returns to Esteghlal

AFC - Mohammad Nazavi has returned to Iran Pro League champions and AFC Champions League side Esteghlal from Saba Battery on a two-year contract.

The former Team Melli right-back formed a fine combination with Ali Daei at Saba Battery, setting up the latter in front of goal with his pinpoint crosses.

Others joining Esteghlal before the onset of the new season on September 9 are defender Ali Ansarian from Persepolis and Brazilian striker Da Silva from Esteghlal Ahwaz.

The new signings more than make up for the absence of Reza Enayati, last season’s league top-scorer, and left midfielder Nikbakht Vahedi, both of whom quit Esteghlal recently.
