tribalfootball.com - MELBOURNE, Three of Iran's top players are keen to
play in the A-League this season.
Former Cologne and San Jose Earthquakes star Khodadad Azizi headlines
the trio as he seeks a move from Rah Ahan FC this year.
Iran international defenders Saeid Lotfi and Yaya Golmohammadi are also
interested in moving to Australia to continue their careers.
A source close to the players told tribalfootball.com: "With Australia
now part of the Asian Confederation, Iran's top players do see the
A-League as a competition to continue their careers in.
"The three players that have put their hands up are not seeking huge
money and would fit easily into a club's salary cap.
"Ideally, they'd like Sydney because of the big Iranian community in the
city, but there's a great opportunity for Australian clubs to show
they're serious about moving into Asia by snapping up these players."
