MNA – Iran’s sports boss Mohammad Aliabadi
here Sunday said the country’s football requires an able chief.
Vice-president and head of Physical Education Organization (PEO) added the
future president of Football Federation is expected to use all potentials
and help the popular sporting field make considerable progress.
He urged the federation caretaker head Kiumars Hashemi to make arrangements
by next week for registration of those candidates, who find themselves fit
for managing the federation.
The top sporting body, PEO, ousted the federation president Mohammad Daadkan
immediately after Iran-Angola match at the 2006 World Cup in the German city
of Leipzig on June 21.
The decision was made following Iran’s lackluster performance and weak
results in the tournament.
Iran finished fourth with meager one point out of three games with Mexico,
Portugal, and Angola.
