FIFA - The draw for the FIFA Beach Soccer
World Cup's Asian qualifying groups has been made at the headquarters of
Beach Soccer Worldwide in Barcelona.
These qualifying games will take place between 22 and 26 May in Dubai,
United Arab Emirates. As host nation, the UAE have been named as top seeds
in their group, as have Japan courtesy of their status as Asia's leading
beach soccer nation. The identity of a sixth team that will take up the
remaining place in Group B is not yet known.
Asia will have three representatives at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Rio
de Janeiro 2006, which can be followed from 2 to 12 November exclusively on
FIFA.com.
