AP - The Mexican national soccer team will play its final tuneup match
before the World Cup against Venezuela at the Rose Bowl on May 5.
The international game that will be played on Cinco de Mayo is the sixth
meeting between the teams. Mexico has won all five of the previous matchups,
including a 2-1 victory in a friendly on July 5, 2000.
The match will be the Mexicians' eighth in the Rose Bowl. They played to a
scoreless tie against South Korea in January 2002 during the CONCACAF Gold
Cup.
