Cairo - Portugal`s national team coach
Brazilian Lu¡s Filipe Scolari, was the highlight spectator of the encounter
between Angola and Togo for the last round of the first stage of the African
Nations Cup (CAN-2006), being played in Egypt.
The Brazilian coach was at the stands of Cairo`s international stadium along
with the coach of Egypt`s Al Ahly, Manuel Jos` and gave some details about
the Angolan team, one of Portugal`s Germany World Cup opponents .
At the end of the match Scolari told the press that he does not make
comments on how the Angolan team play, neither did he sum up the encounter,
stating only that both teams needed to win and mostly worried with goals.
He added that the Angolan team in the CAN was different from the one that
played during the qualifying stages.
Regarding the World Cup that begins in June, coach Scolari who was a world
champion in 2002 whilst guiding Brazil, stated that Portugal are not the
favourites and that he will only do his job in order to have a good
performance in the World Cup.
Angola, Portugal, Mexico and Iran are in Group B, in the 2006 World Cup.
