MNA – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) here Saturday announced that
Iranian official Nasser No-Amuz was picked as the vice president of the
governing body’s organizing committee.
According to the report, No-Amuz, who is the veep of Iran’s Football
Federation (IFF), was also introduced at the AFC’s session in the Malaysian
capital Kuala Lumpur as No. 1 official for holding the Asian class B events.
Aiming to develop football across the continent and help Asia’s level B
states make progress, the confederation plans to hold “President Cup” that
is similar to the Asian Nations Cup.
The organizing committee is headed by a Nepalese official and Bangladesh,
Tajikistan, Malaysia, Taiwan, and South Korea are its members.
During the meeting, Jahangir Biglari from Iran was named as a member of the
AFC’s appeals committee, whose duty is to settle disciplinary cases of the
Asian club competitions.
