IRIB - London constables would ensure the
security of the Iranian national team and their entourage during their stay
in England, an official in the Iranian embassy said here Friday.
"After an agreement between head coach Branko Ivankovich and British footbal
federation, national team's training camp would be set up at a London
suburb, Hamid Babaee, an Iranian official told Iran's Student News Agency (ISNA).
Taking the current London crisis into consideration, Iranian embassy has
voiced concerns over the security of the national team members, Babaee said.
But match organisers announced that there is noting to worry about and
everything is under control, he added.
Babaee reiterated that as Milwill fans are deemed extrimists, Iranian
embassy believes it is better to cancel the visit.
