MNA – Pas and Abu Moslem advanced to the
quarterfinals of Iran’s League Cup Sunday.
Pas crushed visitor Sepahan 4-1 at the capital’s Shahid Dastegerdi Stadium
and Abu Moslem edged past Persepolis 1-0 at Azadi Stadium, west of Tehran.
Arash Borhani hit his hat-trick and Javad Nekunam found Sepahan’s net while
Jalal Akbari scored the Isfahani side’s consolation goal.
Fereydun Fazli netted in the 17th minute to eliminate Persepolis at home.
