IRNA - Iranian amateur striker Amir Shapourzadeh has signed a professional contract with newly relegated second division Bundesliga club Hansa Rostock, the football portal iran-fussball reported Tuesday.

The 23-year-old Shapourzadeh, who was a starting forward for Hansa Rostock's amateur squad this season, gave his professional debut in his team's 2-1 loss at Borussia Dortmund on May 21.

Shapourzadeh whose football idols are Brazil's Ronaldo and Iran's Mehdi Mahdavikia, joined Hansa Rostock last year from north German rivals Hamburger SV.
