German court issues arrest warrant for Pirouzi's African striker

IRNA - German authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Pirouzi's Nigerian striker Sambo Choji for failing to attend a court hearing on his financial involvements, the German online sports portal Iran-Fussball said Friday.

The 28-year-old Choji was loaned last year to Pirouzi from second German division Bundesliga club FC Saarbruecken.

The offensive all-rounder's contract with Pirouzi is due to run out on June 30, 2005.

As a consequence of the latest developments, FC Saarbruecken has cut Choji from his team roster.
