Vahedi from Esteghlal club has announced to have signed a
5 months loan agreement with Al-Vasl of UAE for USD
$500,000.
Esteghlal club officials who were not much keen for this
transfer to go through, said to Mehr Agency reporters
that Vahedi had personally called Esteghlal coach
Ghalenoei and insisted to be allowed to transfer to
Al-Vasl which ultimately left the club with no choice but
to go through with it against their will.
Esteghlal which is currently at the sixth place in the
Iran Professional League. It is also learned that Vahedi
will have to split 60% of his earned salary with
Esteghlal according to his contract with the club.
In the Iran Professional League (IPL), new trainers seems
to bode well for the capital`s squads as Paykan at last
extracted a win and Pas turned to a formidable team
expected from the holder in the 16th week of the IPL.
Farhad Kazemi, who stepped down as Sepahan manager before
the midseason, steered Paykan from the dugout toward its
first victory. Paykan ended drought with a 3-2 win over
the home team Pegah in Shahid Azodi Stadium. Morteza
Kashi welcomed the new trainer with the winner four
minutes later, reported IRNA.
In Shahid Dastgerdi Stadium, Pas saw off the Shirazi
squad Barq 5-1. Iranian international Arash Borhani
scored two goals in that game which Pas new manager
Mustafa Denizli took charge in his first game for the
club.
In other Friday`s games, Esteghlal of Ahvaz and Esteghlal
fought to a 2-2 tie in their match at the Takhti Stadium
while Abu Moslem converted three penalties to beat the
visiting Zob Ahan 3-2 in Takhti Stadium, and Sepahan hit
two to overcome the struggling host Saipa 2-1 in Shariati
Stadium in Karaj.
