Tehran - German football fans give a
thumbs-up to Hamburg's Iranian forward, Mehdi Mahdavikia, according to the
latest internet poll held to nominate the best foreign player at the end
of mid-season German first division championship Bundesliga Wednesday.
The Hamburg's striker picked up 3831 votes, taking lead from Argentinian
Sergei Barbarez with 326 votes.
Bernado Romeo was put on the third spot with 105 votes.
Yawning under awning, Iran's Mahdavikia has been watching the games from
the stand in most plays of Bundesliga mid-season, but the top forward have
refused to quit the team.
