IRNA - The board of
directors of Sepahan Sports-Cultural Club accepted the
resignation of trainer Farhad Kazemi Sunday.
The manager offered his resignation immediately after his
side`s home match against the capital`s Esteqlal in
Naqsh-e Jahan Stadium in
Isfahan last Friday.
Sepahan came from 2-0 down to hold the visiting Esteqlal
to a 2-2 draw in the 15th week of the fourth Iran Pro
League.
The club said the directorate gave nod to resignation as
Sepahan has lost its real position in the new season.
According to the club, Nasser Pourmehdi is appointed as
the caretaker and the board of directors is trying to
hire a foreign trainer.
Sepahan celebrated the second IPL title two years ago and
will represent the country in the Asian club competitions
as it won last
season`s League Cup.
Of 15 games, Sepahan has collected 19 points, standing
10th in the table.
