Perugia coach Serse Cosmi has hinted he will leave the club if president Luciano Gaucci sells the team's best players.

"I want to know if there is a chance to build something here and if we can look forward to something more than just survival," he said. "A new stadium could also help matters."

Cosmi has succeeded in guiding Perugia to tenth in Serie A this season after taking over from Carlo Mazzone, but feels the club need to plan for the future if they are to make further progress.

Outlining his vision for next season, he said: "The players we must keep in order to secure a future for the club are our forwards Zisis Vryzas and Fabio Bazzani. They have scored 17 goals between them, not including penalties.

"I would also like to keep Giovanni Tedesco, Emanuele Blasi, Fabio Grosso, Mauro Milanese and Marco di Loreto, who is one of the best defenders in Italy and the most undervalued in Europe.

"I will speak about these subjects with the club. I have heard people talking about new and ambitious plans, but hearing about them is not the same as achieving them," he added.
