IRNA - Iran physical education supremo
Mohsen Mehralizadeh arrived here Tuesday night.
The vice-president told IRNA he has traveled to Amman to watch the
second-leg 2006 World Cup qualifier between Iran and Jordan Wednesday
night.
"During my stay, I will meet Jordanian King Abdullah, Prime Minister
Faisal al-Fayez, and other ranking officials," added Mehralizadeh.
The visiting official said he would discuss bilateral ties with the
Jordanians.
Shifting to football, Mehralizadeh said Iran is one of the top Asian
teams, expressing hope it would emerge victorious.
Iran, which was beaten 1-0 in the first leg in Tehran needs a win over
Jordan to keep its hope for qualification alive.
