IRNA - SAIPA and Shamoushak grabbed their double to win playoffs for the fourth Iran Pro League here Sunday.
Before over 2,000 spectators in Takhti stadium, the northern side Shamoushak celebrated its 2-0 victory over Shahid Qandi of central city Yazd as Behrouz Pak-Niyat took the lead in the 37th minute and Abdollah Shah-Hosseini netted 20 minutes after the restart.
Assisted by his two linesmen, Mohammad Pirouzram and Mohammad-Reza Fallah, Fereydoun Esfahanian refereed the match.
Later, SAIPA handed San`at Naft of Abadan, southern Iran, a 2-0 defeat.
The two sides played an uneventful first half but SAIPA struck two in the 62nd and 75th minutes when Ali Karimi and Amir-Hossein Youssefi found the back of the net.
Referee Mohsen torki and linesmen reza Sokhandan and Hassan Karbasforoush judged the game.
The playoffs between the two first-division sides, Qandi and Naft, and bottom-placed teams of the third Iran Pro League, Shamoushak and SAIPA, are deciding for promotion of two other teams.
The fourth IPL has room for 16 teams -- two more than the previous edition.
