PLDC - Tractor FC secured a 2–0 away win over Al Gharafa SC to book their place in the AFC Champions League Elite Round of 16.
The Iranian side controlled much of the match and broke the deadlock in the 61st minute through Mahdi Hashemnezhad, who finished from close range after a rebound. Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh sealed the victory in the 81st minute with a composed finish into the top corner.
The result ended Al Gharafa’s qualification hopes, while Tractor finished third in the standings with 17 points and will now face Shabab Al Ahli of the UAE in the Round of 16.
