PLDC - Iran’s U17 team came from behind to record a 3–1 victory over Palestine on Friday in their AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiers Group D match.
Iran nearly opened the scoring earlier in the game, but it was Palestine who struck first just before halftime when Adam Kafafi finished from close range after a blocked run by Jamal Obaid.
Iran quickly responded after the break. In the 49th minute, Jafar Asadi levelled the match with a cool finish into the corner. The same player then added his second in the 68th minute, curling in a superb effort following a strong run from Abbas Rafie.
Four minutes later, Mahan Beheshti completed the comeback with a well-placed shot inside the area.
Iran face hosts India on Sunday and need only a draw to secure qualification for the final tournament.
