PFDC- According to IRIB, Vahid Hashemian will not be able to leave his club VFL Bochum to travel to Kuwait for the West Asian tourney.
"Because we have 6 games left and we need to win at least 4 of them, I don't think I will be able to travel to Kuwait. Bochum's club officials have decided to keep all the players until the end of this season. I have talked to them and it has been decided that I will stay with Bochum."
Italian Perugia's star, Rahman Rezaei also will need to stay with his club.
"Because our team is not in a good position in the league and with our defeat of this week, I have not yet gotten the permission to leave. It all depends on our future results, and if we get good results, then they might release me for the West Asian tourney."
Farhad Majidi's presence in Kuwait is still not decided.
"We will have two very important games at the same time with West Asian Games and I don't think that my club will authorize me to leave. I will wait for their decision."
Iran's coach, Branco Ivankovic who is back in Iran from a two-week vacation in Croatia said that the presence of the 4 legionnaires, Karimi, Majidi, Hashemian and Rezaei for the West Asia games is still unclear.
The training session for the national team will resume tomorrow.
