Tasnim – Iranian forward Sardar Azmoun turned in another encouraging performance, scoring against his former club Rubin Kazan.
Zenit defeated Rubin Kazan 2-1 in Kazan’s Central Stadium on Saturday.
Azmoun was on target in the 8th minute but Yevgeni Markov leveled the match in the 66th minute.
Artem Dzyuba scored the winner in the 79th goal to seal a 2-1 victory for the visiting team.
Zenit remains top of the Russian Premier League with 39 points after 17 weeks.
Rubin Kazan is 14th with 17 points.
