Tasnim – Golsapoosh from Iran lost to Alanya Belediye Spor 5-4 in the first edition of the World Winners Cup in Alanya, Turkey on Wednesday.
The Iranian team will face Meizhou Hakka of China in its second match in Group A.
Shahin Khazar, another Iranian team in the tournament, started the campaign with a 7-2 win over Boca Gdansk of Poland in Group B but lost to Brazilian team CR Flamengo 6-2 in its second match.
The beach soccer competition is taking place from October 21 to 27 in Alanya, Turkey.
