| ZAGREB,
Croatia, March 7 (DSA) - Croatian media reported that Osijek's new coach
Miroslav Blazevic has attacked referee Ivan Novak after first division
21st round match between Dinamo and Osijek. ''I did not hit him as he complained. I have only told him that he whistled a penalty for Dinamo that was not deserved at all'', Blazevic said after 1-2 defeat in his first match as Osijek's coach. Official Croatian Football Federation representatives have not yet commented on the incident. Before taking over Osijek's team, Blazevic resigned as Iran national team coach and declined the bids of national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine and Peru. His biggest success was the win of bronze medal with Croatia at World Cup 1998 in France. |
