Siahjamegan

Tehran Times - FIFA have decided to deduct three-points from Iranian football club Siahjamegan for overdue payments to their player.

Brazilian attacking midfielder Renan da Silva, more commonly known as Renan Silva, filed a complaint against Siahjamegan after the Mashhad-based football team didn’t pay him his salary.

Renan Silva was a member of Siah Jamegan in 2015.

Siahjamegan’s arch-rivals Padideh had faced six-point deduction last season after they failed to pay their ex-player Zoran Knezevic.

The punishment has imposed by FIFA’s disciplinary committee.

In February 2008, Persepolis faced a six-point deduction for failing to pay a former player and lost their top position in Iran's Pro League.

Sepahan are another Iranian club have suffered the FIFA’s punishment.

Siahjamegan, who dropped down from Iran Professional League (IPL) to the first division last season, will start next season on minus three points.
