Iran beats Uzbekistan in Athens soccer qualifier

IRNA - Iran's under-23 soccer side defeated Uzbekistan in the first-leg qualifying match of 2004 Athens Olympic 
Games on Saturday. 
Iran hit three to overcame the Uzbek team 3-1 on the field of Pakhtakor Stadium of Tashkent. In the first half, Iran possessed ball and field but failed to score. 
Arash Borhani of Iran netted in the 63rd and 68th minutes and his teammate Iman Mob'ali grabbed the third in the 76th minute. 
Uzbekistan's consolation goal came in the 78th minute. The two teams play the second leg in early June.
