PLDC - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko says Iran will become the first team to arrive in Russia for the 2018 World Cup.
According to Mutko, Iran national football team will travel to Moscow on June 5.
The team will have a training camp in Bakovka, outside Moscow, which is usually used by Moscow’s Lokomotiv.
Russia selected 11 host cities to be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup and they are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara.
The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15 at 12 stadiums located in the 11 mentioned above cities across Russia. Two of the stadiums are located in the Russian capital.
Carlos Queiroz’s team has been drawn in Group B of the 2018 World Cup along with Spain, Morocco and Portugal.
The Iran national football team will open the campaign with a match against Morocco at Saint Petersburg on June 15.
Team Melli, meanwhile, faces Spain in Kazan on 20 June before meeting Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in Saransk five days later.
