Tehran Times - Persepolis of Iran and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli will play at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat, Oman in the 2017 AFC Champions League quarterfinals stage.
The two clubs have chosen Oman as the neutral venue to host the forthcoming matches.
The first leg will be held on August 22, where the Persian Gulf country will host the match and the second leg has been scheduled for September 12.
Persepolis have already faced Al-Hilal in the stadium in ACL group stage because of diplomatic tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian team were going to choose Kyrgyzstan as the neutral venue but changed the decision due to the country’s low-quality stadium.
The 2017 AFC Champions League has started on January 24 and will run until November 25.
