IRNA - Iran has been scheduled to play the
Maldives in the preliminary round of 2004 Athens Olympic qualifiers in
April.
According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Iran and the Maldives
are to field their players on April 12 in Tehran and on April 19 in Male in
the first- and second-leg matches respectively.
National football teams of Turkmenistan, India, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka,
Lebanon, Jordan, Taiwan, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Yemen, Iraq, Vietnam,
Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Palestine, Oman, Cambodia, Syria,Pakistan, the
United Arab Emirates, and Tajikistan will also compete in the qualifying
matches. |
