Tasnim - Iran seized its third victory in a row in the women’s U-19 football tournament “Kuban Spring” on Wednesday.
The Iranian team defeated Slovenia 1-0 thanks to Maryam Izadpanah’s 77th minute goal.
Iran had already defeated Russia’s Krasnodar (3-2) and Kazakhstan (7-0) in the tournament.
Leyla Vaghari’s girls qualified for the next stage as the first team.
The tournament was held for the first time in 2004 in Poltava Stanitsa, Krasnodar Krai. It began as a club tournament, later acquiring international status, and since 2010, it is held in Sochi.
