Tasnim - Qatari club Al-Shahania completed the signing of Iranian striker Rahim Mehdi Zohaivi on Thursday.
The 27-year-old player is reunited with his countryman Mehrdad Pooladi in Al-Shahania.
Zohaivi had been also linked with a move to Iranian popular teams Persepolis and Esteghlal.
He started his career with Shahrdari Yasuj. Later he joined Naft MIS & Shahrdari Bandar Abbas. In winter 2012 he joined Naft Tehran and made 25 appearances without netting a goal in 18 months. In summer 2013 he joined Sanat Naft.
In summer of 2015, Zohaivi joined Esteghlal Khuzestan in the Persian Gulf Pro League, helping the Ahvaz-based team win the title for the first time in the club’s history.
Zohaivi was named in the Persian Gulf Pro League team of the season for the 2015–16 season.
