Tasnim - Cameroonian striker Aloys Bertrand Nong joined Iran’s Esteghlal Khuzestan on Saturday.
Nong has penned an 18-month contract with the Ahvaz-based team for an undisclosed fee.
The 33-year-old striker has already played at Iranian clubs Foolad, Naft Tehran and Tractor Sazi.
Nong has joined Iran Professional League titleholder to strengthen the team in the AFC Champions League, where the Iranian team has been drawn in Group B along with Qatar’s Lekhwiya and Al-Jazira of the UAE.
Esteghlal Khuzestan is 10th in the IPL table with 18 points from 15 games.
Nong started his career in Belgium football club Eendracht Aalst.
He has played at Kortrijk, Mechelen, Standard Liege and Levante as well.
