Barq holds Persepolis&nbsp; <img border="0" src="http://www.persianleague.com/images/pic.gif" width="13" height="11">

IRNA - Visitor Barq of Shiraz held Persepolis here on Friday. Playing the last match of the 14th week of Iran Pro League (IPL) in front of over 20,000 fans in Takhti Stadium, southern Tehran, the reds and Shirazi squad fought to a goalless draw.
Persepolis came close to the opener in the 44th minute but Barq goalkeeper Mahik Azizian denied the reds' full-back Yahya Golmohammadi's shootout from the penalty spot. Assisted by linesmen Iraj Nazari and Esmaeil Safiri, Yadollah Soleimani refereed the match.
Winning 24 points, Persepolis is at the third place of the league table.
In other matches, Esteqlal of Tehran and Pas tied 1-1, the league leader Sepahan beat San'at Naft 1-0, Paykan defeated Zob Ahan 1-0, the Khuzestani side Foulad overcame the Ahvaz-based Esteqlal 2-0, Abu  Moslem-SAIPA derby ended nil-nil, and Fajr-e Sepassi handed the relegation-zone squad Malavan a 3-2 loss.
Sepahan of Isfahan is spearheading the league with 34 points, Fajr collecting 24 points is at the second place, and the sixth-placed Esteqlal of Tehran has 21 points.
