Paatoop - Alireza Jahanbakhsh’s club AZ Alkmaar tied Irish visitors Dundalk in their first match of the 2016-17 Europa League group stage.

AZ player Stijn Wuytens was badly injured scoring the goal for his club; this incident was particularly hard-to-watch for Alireza Jahanbakhsh, as he was pushed to tears by his teammates misfortune.

Jahanbakhsh played or 75 minutes until he was replaced by Moroccan Bel Hassani.

The other match in Group D ended 4-3 in Zenit Saint Petersburg’s favour, thus putting the Russian club in first place.

On September 18th, AZ will face PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie.
