Behzad Zadaliasghari

CBC - Iran's Behzad Zadaliasghari scored the goal of the 2016 Paralympics with his eyes closed — literally.

The blindfolded 5-a-side footballer masterfully dribbled the ball around the entire Moroccan team to score Iran's second goal in its eventual 2-0 preliminary victory on Sunday.

The sport, known as blind football, slightly modifies FIFA rules with a smaller field and a reduced number of players. Per 5-a-side rules, each player is blindfolded and the ball is equipped with a noise maker to assist them in locating it. One guide is permitted to help from the sidelines.

Iran finished Pool A in second and will meet Argentina in the semifinals on Thursday.

Brazil has claimed gold in every Paralympics since the sports introduction at the 2004 Athens Games, while Iran looks to reach the podium for the first time in its third appearance.
