MNA - The Iranian officiating team was selected by the Rio Olympic committee to ref the final of under-23s Olympic football in Brazil between the hosts and Germans.
Iranian referees, Alireza Faghani, Reza Sokhandan (linesman), and Mohammadreza Mansouri (linesman) will officiate the final event of men's under-23s football at the Rio Olympics. The fourth official is from Senegal.
On Saturday, the bronze medal match will be held between Nigeria and Honduras in an event to be whistled by Brazilian referees. A day later the gold medal match of the tournament will be held at the Maracanã Stadium of Rio de Janeiro.
Faghani had already officiated important events as the final of the championship league of Asia, the final of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, and the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
