TASNIM - Iranian national football team's coach Carlos Queiroz could replace for Roy Hodgson as new coach of England football team.
Hodgson stepped down after a 2-1 loss to Iceland at the 2016 Euro at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice on June 27, 2016.
The Football Association has reportedly approached super agent Jorge Mendes in a bid to secure his help in finding a new England manager.
Mendes commands an impressive clientele as one of the most influential man in football and the Sun claim the FA are hopeful they can utilize the Portuguese’s contact list.
Jose Mourinho is one of Mendes’ clients, but is an extremely unlikely candidate having just taken over at Manchester United.
Former Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is another one of the managers under Mendes’ guidance with the 67-year-old reportedly turning down the England job in 2006.
Carlos Queiroz and Aitor Karanka are two other men tied to Mendes who both have experience working in England, but the FA hope his connections through-out football will help them secure a top manager for the job.
