TEHRANTIMES - Iranian-Dutch striker Reza Ghoochannejhad, who returned to Heerenveen after eight years, made a fantastic debut for the team as he scored twice and provided an assist in a 5-1 win against FC Emmen in a friendly match.
“It’s nice to be back on the pitch after four, five months. We can even play better as there is still plenty room for improvement but for the first time, we can be satisfied with the result and the way of our playing. I have a lot of confidence,” Ghoochannejhad said.
“I’m happy to return to Dutch football and I hope I can reach my top form here,” he added.
Ghoochannejhad, who was a free agent after leaving Charlton, joined Heerenveen to continue his career in The Eredivisie.
