Tasnim - Former Iranian national football team and Persepolis defender Afshin Peyrovani has been named as new head coach of Naft Tehran on Monday.
Peyrovani, 46, has penned a one-year deal with the Iranian top flight football team.
Peyrovani has already worked at Persepolis and Stell Azin as interim coach.
He was appointed as manager of Iran national football team in 2014.
This is for the first time that Peyrovani will start Iran Professional League as head coach.
Peyrovani was a member of Persepolis football team from 1993 to 2004. He played 209 times for the Reds and scored 14 goals.
He also made 66 appearances for Iran national team from 1993 to 2002.
Peyrovani replaced Alireza Mansourian, who left the team for Esteghlal in May.
