Tasnim - Iran’s Tasisat Daryaei lost to FC Barcelona Lassa at the 2016 Futsal Intercontinental Cup Friday night.
In the match held at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Stadium in Doha, the Iranian team was defeated against the Spanish club 4-2.
Spain’s FC Barcelona Lassa, Brazilian giant Carlos Barbosa, Asian champion Tasisat Daryaei of Iran and Dynamo Moscow of Russia have been drawn together in Group A.
Group B comprises Spanish futsal league champion Inter Movistar, Libertadores Cup winner Magnus Futsal and Portuguese champion Benfica.
Two teams from a group make it to the semi-final stage.
The Iranian team has been scheduled to meet Carlos Barbosa late Saturday.
In its 15th edition, the Intercontinental Futsal Cup is considered to be one of the best club’s tournaments in the world. The inaugural edition of the tournament was held at Porto Alegre in Brazil in 1997 when Sport Club Internacional of Brazil won the title beating FC Barcelona 4-2 in the final.
